Ethos

Come along and you will

Write Clean Code

Practice writing well structured clean code without the normal pressures of work

Try Different Languages

Make the most of the events by trying out different languages and techniques

Meet Different People

Make new friends whilst coding in pairs. This gives you the opportunity to both learn from and teach others.

Have Fun

Have an enjoyable evening solving interesting problems and sharing experiences.

The Next Meeting...

... will be on Wednesday 16th November 2016

Tank Battle

Following on with our AI bot theme, this month we will be trying to write bots to destroy each other's tanks!

The session usually begins with a description of the problem, followed by grouping into pairs to work on it, and brief presentation of solutions at the end. This means you need to find somebody to work with on the day. All languages are OK to use - as long as you can find somebody to pair with! Bring a laptop, with plenty of charge :)

Isotoma have kindly offered to sponsor us, and they are conveniently located in the center of York (Buzz the door to get in)

Doors open from 18:00, pizza at 18:15, coding from 18:45, pub around 21:00.
